Electric sliding tables, also known as electric displacement tables, or simply electric displacement tables, sliding tables, modules, etc., are widely used in scientific research, laser applications, fully automatic measuring and testing equipment, industrial automation, and other fields due to their high accuracy, fast speed, large load-bearing capacity, and long travel. They also achieve automatic displacement control in environments such as vacuum, pollution, sterility, and radiation.

The common electric slide system usually consists of three parts: electric slide, motor driver, and controller.

The motor driver and controller mainly determine performance parameters such as driving torque, acceleration and deceleration, signal processing, and usage functions (such as scanning and arc interpolation). With the improvement of motor control technology, in addition to the mechanical components of the electric sliding table, the motor driver and controller also greatly affect the vibration, noise, and positioning accuracy of the electric sliding table. As the core of the entire system, the electric sliding table determines the main technical indicators of the system, such as displacement accuracy, stroke, straightness, load, stability, usage environment, external dimensions, etc.

Due to the relatively complex nature of electric slide systems, which often involve various aspects such as mechanical design, electronic technology, control level, processing capacity, assembly process, etc., although electric slide products are widely used, the various indicators of electric slide systems are currently deeply confused and misunderstood in China. One important and easily confused technical indicator is the accuracy of electric slide systems.
